If your looking for pets & are not interested in breeding your goats please consider buying wethers they make great pets & do not have all the bucky traits. Kids must be picked up within the week they are weaned or you will have to pay a small boarding fee. If you are purchasing multiple kids & making only one trip we can work with you on a reasonable price for keeping the kids a bit longer until they are all ready to go. Deposit price will depend on how long it will be before your goat is picked up. Deposits are required to reserve an unborn kid from a specific breeding. If there is a breeding you wish to reserve a kid from a non-refundable fee of $50 per kid must be paid in advance. The only way a deposit will be refunded is if something should happen to the goat you have put a reserve on or if the sex of your choice is not born from a breeding pair. If you are doing a specific color reservation it will be refunded if that color is not born. If you do not pay a deposit in advance prices on the breeding chart can not be guarenteed If you are having goats shipped generally they need to be shipped between 2 - 4 weeks depending on there weight or cost through the airline will be higher. All other goats must be picked up within 15 days of putting them on reserve or you will loose your deposit! In some cases we will hold them longer but , only if we have discussed the situation prior to your deposit & only in certain cases such as if you live a long way from here , can only come at a certain time etc... A deposit sent by mail locally must reach us within 5 days. If you live further away we will allow 10 days for it to get here. A boarding fee to cover there feed must be charged if you can not pick your goats up on or before the date that we agree upon. In some cases we can & will hold the goat(s)longer BUT it must be worked out with us before hand. Boarding fee if kept past the agreed on date will be charged per week , per goat the boarding fee will be $35 per week on each goat. To reserve an already born goat you MUST pay a deposit on it. Already born goats being picked up within 2 weeks require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price. The only way we can issue a refund is if something were to happen to your kid & hopefully that never happens but , rest assured if in the case it did you will be given a full refund on that particular kid. To reserve unborn kids from a certain breeding you must pay a $50 deposit & state if you wish to reserve a doe or buck kid. At the time the kids are born you will them be required to pay the remainder of there cost. Which must be paid within two weeks of being notified that your kids have been born. Some doe or buck kids may be retained by us for breeding. We retain breeders rights to first choice on any kid born. Cost of transportation, health papers, and registration costs are optional & are the responsibility of the buyer. A registration form will come with all kids that are sold with papers it is the buyers resposiblity to send this in to ADGA. We can send the form into ADGA if the buyer is willing to pay the ADGA fees in advance. Once the goat leaves our farm we can not be responsible for them as we do not know the exact situation they will be going into. At the time they leave our farm they will be up to date on CD&T shots , De-worming & De-licing. It is the buyer's responsibility to keep them current after they leave here. We can & do airship via Delta pet you are required to pay the shipping fee , health cert. fee , acclimation cert. fee , our gas to the airport (It is an hour & a half away) , cost of a carrier (Unless you wish to send your own) + the cost of the goat you are purchasing. Usually around $250 - $400 for young kids under 3 weeks old which includes (carrier/health cert./ shipping cost not kid price). Plus we have to charge a gas fee as the airport is 2 hrs away & gas costs keep rising. Kids & pet carrier have to weigh 40 lbs or under to be shipped at the above prices. Cost of shipping depends on the area you are in. We will add a pack of electrolytes on top of the carrier with a nipple & instructions in case of a layover that way the kid can be given something to drink. Deposits must be made in the form of US Postal money order or a bank issued cashiers check. A recent expieriance has forced us to be MUCH more strict on checks. We hope you understand... A personal check will ONLY be accepted if it will be longer than 5 weeks until you pick the goat(s) up. Deposit's are non-refundable unless under circumstances something happens to the goat your deposit is on. In that case you will be issued a refund on that particular goat. Hopefully this is something that doesn't happen but , rest assured if it does you will be given a refund. Deposits are non transferable unless under the above mentioned circumstance. Please remember cash only at pickup!!! Goats must be picked up on the farm unless we have already arranged a meeting (Note: We will only be able to meet people under certain circumstances & never usually over 100 miles distance. There will be a gas charge for this option please see Meeting Fee) for details. Shots: Kids are given there first CD&T shot at 3-4 weeks of age & there second one at 6-8 weeks. They will need a booster shot once a year to protect them from Enterotoxemia & Tetanus. This will be up to the buyer to provide the goat the booster shot when it is one year of age. You can order them online at most animal supply stores or pick them up at Tractor Supply. We use Bar-Vac CD&T it has always worked best for us. De-worming: Kids will have gotten de-worming prevention twice before they are weaned. We use Valbazen , Synanthic or Ivomec on all kids. Coccidios: Kids are bottle raised & given Deccox-M in there bottles for 28 days to prevent coccidios. They are also given Di-Methox 40% at the recomended ages as an added precaution. Weaning: Kids are weaned at 8 weeeks old , if buying a weaned kid you are required to pick it up by 9 weeks of age unless we have arranged otherwise. Other arrangements with a small added care fee can sometimes be made on holding them if you are coming a long distance. Feed: Kids are left free choice hay , mineral salt & feed from the time they are born. Generally they start to 'nibble' at feed/hay by 4-5 days old. The feed they are given is Country Acres medicated goat chow(Same medication as in Deccox-M) with added alfalfa pellets , sunflower seeds , Beet Pulp & Calf Manna. The minerals are UltraLyx Goat Minerals. Buck kids & wethers are only given Country Acres medicated goat & UltraLyx minerals. Bottle Amount: Kids are given 4-6 small bottles there first few days. After which they put on 2 bottles a day. Kids recieve there colosturum before going to regular goat milk. They are taken to one bottle a day at 7 weeks old & weaned off all milk at 8 weeks. Our kids raised here reach there breeding weight by fall (70 - 90 lbs or more). To insure your kids grow properly please be sure to feed them a good diet. We encourage our kids to start eating solid foods so there rumen will develop properly. Housing: Kids are housed seperate from adults & placed together by there sex/age.
